The Great Commission
Jesus urges us to go and make disciples of all nations (or people groups). If we want to obey Jesus’ command we must know where to look and who to pray for. People groups in this region are considered unreached which means they will not have access to the gospel like you and I. They are lost and like sheep without a Shepard.
The harvest in Luke 10:2 are the unreached and unsaved. Unsaved are people who do not know the Lord. Like your neighbor or family member, however, they have access to the gospel through you or a church on the corner. The difference for “unreached” people is that they will never be able to find out about Jesus in their lifetime.
Luke 10:2
“And he said to them, The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
